Job summary

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board is seeking an Itinerant Child & Youth Care Worker (Level 7) to support students across the region. The role involves collaborating with school and Learning Services staff to assess needs and implement individualized intervention plans, with the ability to deliver 1:1 or small-group support and crisis interventions as needed.

Requirements include a three-year CYC diploma (or equivalent) and at least two years of relevant experience; a post-graduate ABA

Qualifications

• Three-year CYC diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-graduate diploma in ABA or Autism & Behavioural Science is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of similar work experience.
• Experience with autism and behavioural support is an asset.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Assess needs, create and support intervention plans with school staff.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support and liaison with families and agencies.
