Job description

Join to apply for the Mobile Building Operator role at Cushman & Wakefield.

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the assigned property(s). Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean environment, performing rounds, routine assessments, preventive and corrective maintenance, painting, and housekeeping.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements
  • Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV, and air distribution systems
  • Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, control gauges, valves, thermostats, and other systems to ensure comfort
  • Perform repairs and adjustments based on field conditions
  • Monitor Energy Management systems
  • Conduct general repairs, including doors, ceilings, hand railings, floors, and plumbing fixtures
  • Perform preventive maintenance following standards and manufacturer recommendations
  • Inspect and maintain engine room, fan room, cooling tower, motors, pumps, electrical rooms, backup generators, fire pumps, sump, and ejector pumps
  • Ensure emergency exit signs and lighting are operational and clear access to exits
  • Document activities and respond to emergencies promptly
  • Comply with all safety and building codes, regulations, and company policies

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role involves working in a professional setting, traveling between properties, and physical activities like lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, crouching, and reaching. Clear communication and reading skills are essential.
