Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Mobile Engineer to develop and enhance the RTINGS.com mobile app using Hotwire Native, building native screens and bridge components for iOS and Android. You will collaborate with Product and Rails teams to deliver a high-quality mobile experience.

The role requires 3–5 years in RoR/full-stack or mobile development, hands-on experience with Hotwire Native, and proficiency in native iOS/Android technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development, full-stack, or mobile development.
• Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, particularly Hotwire (Turbo and Stimulus), required.
• Experience with Hotwire Native (formerly Turbo Native), or a demonstrated ability to learn it quickly, strongly preferred.
• Experience developing native iOS and/or Android applications (Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin/Jetpack Compose), enabling you to build native integration components and platform-specific features.
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store is a plus.
• Experience integrating third‑party SDKs and mobile platform services (e.g., push notifications, authentication, analytics) is a plus.
• Experience with GraphQL is a plus.
• Quick learner with excellent problem‑solving skills.
