Job summary

TD Bank Group is offering a role in Toronto within the Model Validation (MV) group focused on validating AI/ML models, including deep learning and foundation models. You will research, validate, and apply new techniques for tabular datasets and large-scale environments, and communicate results to partners and senior management.

The position requires strong quantitative skills, experience with PyTorch and NLP, and familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure Databricks.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative skills with an advanced degree in computer science, machine learning, engineering, statistics, mathematics or physics.
• Experience with AI/ML methodologies including Deep Learning, NLP, Transformers, Diffusion models, and Bagging/Boosting methods.
• Proficient in Python, Java, Scala or PySpark; familiar with PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure Databricks and Azure ML Studio.

Responsibilities

• Research, validate, and apply new techniques in testing deep learning models applied to tabular/structured datasets.
• Stay up to date with advancements in AI including publications, foundation models, evaluation metrics, explainability, and datasets.
• Develop/implement AI/ML model validation methodologies and standards for Tabular Deep Learning / Foundation models.
• Ensure validation methodologies align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
