Job summary

BURNCO Rock Products Ltd is hiring Mixer Drivers for the Fort McMurray, Alberta Ready Mix division. You will deliver and pour concrete at various sites, working in a small team to complete client orders, while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer communication and teamwork skills.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose simple truck issues.

• Valid CDL Class 1 or 3 license with air brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Ready-Mix Truck in urban areas and tight construction sites.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance on mixer trucks.
• Help keep plant and surrounding locations clean and hazard-free.
• Learn and follow company safety protocols to ensure safe operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

We are looking for people that are highly motivated, excellent at communicating with customers and team members, and are capable of driving change, while taking pride in their high-quality workmanship and ability to get things done in a timely and effective manner.

What You Will Be Doing

• Operate a Ready-Mix Truck in urban areas and tight construction sites.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Contribute to keeping locations in and around the plant clean and hazardous free.
• Learn our company safety protocol in order to execute work safely.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We Would Like from You

• Class 1 or 3 CDL (w/ air brake endorsement).
• Clean 5 years Drivers Abstract.
• Concrete Mixer truck driving experience preferred.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• City driving experience.
• The ability to drive standard or manual transmission.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and be available on short notice.
• Ability to successfully pass our pre-employment testing.
