MODERN Staffing seeks an experienced Mitigation Technician to support emergency response and restoration projects in Ontario. You will apply restoration techniques for content and structural cleaning, drying, and water remediation, following IICRC S-500 standards.

Team collaboration and safety compliance are essential across residential and commercial sites. The role involves moisture mapping, water extraction, mould remediation, documenting work, and maintaining equipment and vehicles.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Support emergency response and restoration projects to meet client and insurance requirements.
• Apply restoration techniques in content and structural cleaning, structural drying, and water remediation per IICRC S-500 standards.
• Collaborate with team members under supervision in residential and commercial settings.
• Ensure the successful execution of emergency response and restoration efforts, meet project goals, and exceed customer expectations.
• Perform cleaning and restoration services at customer job sites and in the warehouse, including disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, and restoring structures and property.
• Perform moisture mapping, water extraction, mould remediation, cleaning of affected surfaces, and demolition and removal of building materials to support the restoration process per IICRC guidelines.
• Photograph and document all restoration-related work throughout the restoration project.
• Maintain vehicles, restock supplies, ensure equipment functionality, and uphold a clean and organized work environment.
• Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by conducting hazard assessments and reporting unsafe conditions; participate in safety trainings.
• Foster customer satisfaction by maintaining professionalism, building relationships, and ensuring prompt, accurate communication with clients, subcontractors, insurance adjustors and stakeholders.
• Any other reasonable duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting emergency response and restoration projects to meet client and insurance company requirements
• Applying restoration techniques in content and structural cleaning, structural drying, and water remediation, following IICRC S-500 Standards
• Collaborates with team members under supervision in residential and commercial settings
• Ensure the successful execution of emergency response and restoration efforts, meet project goals, and exceed customer expectations.
• Perform cleaning and restoration services at customer job sites and in the warehouse, including disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, and restoring structures, personal property, and specialized items
• Perform moisture mapping, water extraction, mould remediation, cleaning of affected surfaces, and demolition and removal of building materials to support the restoration process, adhering to IICRC guidelines
• Photograph and document all restoration-related work throughout the restoration project
• Maintain vehicles, restock supplies, ensure equipment functionality, and uphold a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by conducting hazard assessments, maintaining organized and hazard‑free job sites, and ensuring proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools, equipment, and PPE
• Promptly report and document unsafe conditions or incidents, actively participate in safety training and inspections, and support organizational safety initiatives as directed by the Health and Safety Department
• Foster customer satisfaction by maintaining professionalism, building strong relationships, and ensuring prompt, accurate communication with clients, subcontractors, insurance adjustors and other relevant stakeholders
• Any other reasonable duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highschool Diploma/GED;
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a diversified workload and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work independently or as a team, as required
• Understanding of customer service principles and practices
• Attention to detail and a keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle per company Auto Policy.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years of experience in a technical hands‑on field field‑related position (HVAC, construction, restoration, or other skilled trades)
• 1+ years of experience within the construction, restoration or insurance industry;
• IICRC certification(s)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
• Familiarity with restoration practices and safety protocols
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism

$22-25/hour (depending on experience)
