Position Summary:
As a Mitigation/Contents Technician, you’ll be on the front lines of emergency response—remediating water, fire, and mold damage, while also handling the packing, inventory, and care of customer belongings. This role is critical in helping our clients begin the recovery process with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail.

We’re looking for someone dependable, team-oriented, and ready to jump in where needed. The job requires physical work and a strong work ethic, but is highly rewarding for those who want to make a difference. This role requires a hands-on leader who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities:
Mitigation:
  • Respond to water, fire, and mold losses—day or night (on-call rotation required)
  • Perform demolition, water extraction, drying setup and monitoring
  • Use moisture meters, thermal cameras, and drying equipment
  • Set up containment and apply microbial treatments as needed
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments
  • Document work performed using mobile software and job notes
  • Follow health and safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
Contents:
  • Pack, wrap, and inventory personal property from affected homes or businesses
  • Assist with cleaning and deodorization of contents
  • Photograph and catalog items for documentation and insurance purposes
  • Handle all items with care, respect, and professionalism
  • Help maintain the contents warehouse, ensuring proper storage and organization
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 1+ year experience in restoration, construction, moving services, or related field (preferred but not required)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
  • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work in tight spaces, and in both hot/cold conditions
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Able to be part of an on-call rotation (nights/weekends)
  • Comfortable with smartphones, apps, and basic digital documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IICRC Certification in Fire & Smoke Restoration (FSRT) or Contents Processing
  • Experience with pack-out software (e.g., Encircle)
