Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Mission Specialist to join our LandC5ISR team in Calgary. As a Mission Specialist, you will leverage your military operational knowledge to drive customer relations, provide mentorship and system support in both classroom and field environments. You will provide actionable insights through detailed field reports and user feedback, helping to refine procedures, and system enhancements for optimal mission readiness.

Your day to day will include:

  • In the role of Mission Specialist, you will utilize operational expertise to ensure end-user requirements are accurately captured, communicated, and prioritized.
  • Leverage your military operational knowledge in customer relationsand with the engineering and integration teams
  • Providementorship and guidance to users, both in the classroom and in the field, ensuring their proficiency with our systems.
  • Report system-related problems, covering all aspects of functionality, hardware, software, firmware, operating manuals, training, and usage.
  • Provide detailed written reports identifying observations from the field, including baseline delivery, equipment performance, procedures, and training effectiveness.
  • Gather ongoing feedback from the field force, providing valuable insights to enhance system usage and recommending changes to training and standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Support integration activities including communication system testing, field trials and user experience events
  • Deliver in person presentations to provide status updates and attend planning sessions with internal teams and customers

How We Work

  • Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • HybridA mix of onsite and work from home

Qualifications
  • Minimum Seven (7) years of military experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites as required.

It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.
