Job summary

eStruxture Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Operator to join our Vancouver-area facilities team. You will monitor critical infrastructure, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaborate with vendors and clients to keep systems resilient and secure.

You will report to the Data Center Manager and play a key role in uptime, safety, and incident response across mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

4+ years in a data center, facilities management, or other mission-critical environment.
Experience with liquid cooling technology is preferred.
Familiarity with power and mechanical systems.
Practical experience with BMS/EPMS/BAS software.
Experience using ticketing systems and ITIL practices.

Responsibilities

Manage facility health and safety, including preventative and corrective maintenance.
Respond to faults, perform diagnostics, and support root cause analysis and resolution.
Monitor and maintain electrical and mechanical systems (BMS/EPMS/BAS).
Coordinate vendor activity and supervise on-site work.
Ensure adherence to compliance requirements (SSAE 18, ISO, PCI).
Participate in change management processes and support documentation efforts.
Perform routine infrastructure inspections and support local capacity management.
Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Track visitors, manage shipments, and follow established security protocols.
Install, cable, and rack IT hardware when needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in operational areas.
