Qualifications

Under the direction of a Tobacco Enforcement Officer, the Minor Test Shopper purchases or attempts to purchase tobacco or vapour products at retail outlets. The Minor Test Shopper observes and notes the physical appearance of the sales clerk(s), records the details of the transaction, and appears in court as a witness to provide testimony for formal prosecutions, administrative hearings, or the defense of violation tickets issued by a Tobacco and Vapour Enforcement Officer.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.85, based on education, training, and experience in similar positions.

Fort St. John, known as “The Energetic City,” reflects its large resource base of oil, natural gas, forestry, and agriculture.
