Our team in North America is growing. We are currently recruiting for a Slurry Piping Designer to join Pipelines Business Line in the Denver office. The location can be flexible for the right person.

About The Role

  • Develop alignment drawings (AutoCAD) for long distance pipeline construction
  • Develop Smart P&IDs (Plant 3D or SmartPlant 3D) with markup from process engineers
  • Develop piping models in AutoCAD and 3D (Plant 3D and SmartPlant 3D) environments for basic engineering or detailed design projects
  • Prepare piping layout drawings from the models
  • Identify problems and inconsistencies within input data and markups and propose resolutions by discussing with the project team
  • Comply with all Ausenco Quality Assurance and corporate policies and procedures

About You

  • At least 10 years’ experience in piping design
  • Knowledge of slurry piping and pumping systems is important.
  • Experience setting up and developing smart P&ID’s
  • Detailed knowledge of piping systems, components and hardware, including understanding of P&IDs and material take-offs.
  • Understanding of slurry industry regulatory codes and standards
  • Well-developed written and oral skills
  • Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner with some guidance.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with ASME B16 and B31 and associated standards
