Job summary

The Keno Hill mine, operated by Hecla Mining Company, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Fixed & E&I team on surface and underground operations. You will ensure safe, efficient maintenance planning, project execution, and troubleshooting, while driving team development and performance management aligned with site requirements.

You will collaborate with operations and engineering to maintain infrastructure, audit systems, and uphold safety standards in a remote Yukon mining camp.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Red Seal certification in an applicable trade is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience - underground mining and processing maintenance supervision.
• Significant experience working on CMMS system.
• Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Extensive and proven expertise in Electrical Code.
• Strong organization and leadership skills.
• Superior communication with peers, supervisors, and management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and develop the Fixed & E&I team across the Keno Hill mine site (surface and underground).
• Ensure all work conforms to site safety policies and procedures while recognizing personnel who meet or exceed expectations.
• Develop audit systems for site infrastructure and preventative maintenance programs.
• Execute scheduled maintenance with high schedule compliance.
• Scope and sequence a job, quote/order materials and schedule manpower with the Planner.
• Develop safe work procedures and provide technical input into maintenance procedures and systems.
• Assist or support during troubleshooting and propose solutions to problems.
• Plan personnel rotations, performance reviews, vacations and disciplinary actions per policy.
• Assist with planning and execution of infrastructure construction projects.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering to align systems with site requirements.
• Communicate key activities to direct reports and senior managers.
