Job summary

Greenstone Mine in Geraldton, Ontario, seeks a Mining Heavy Equipment Technology Specialist to join our team. You will perform repairs, overhauls, and technology installs on mining equipment, including Mine-Star technology, Motion Metrics, and Tele-remote CAT fleet elements, on a 14-days-on / 14-days-off rotation.

Reporting to the Mining Heavy Equipment Technology Supervisor, the role requires strong troubleshooting skills, safety focus, and ability to work at heights at a remote mine site.

Qualifications

• Experience in repair of Mine Technology equipment and software on heavy mine equipment.
• Open pit mining experience is an asset.
• Experience with CAT, Komatsu Shovels and EPIROC drills technology equipment is an asset.
• Fiber optics certification is an asset.
• Motorola radio installations and repeaters are assets.
• Fortinet Wi-Fi experience is an asset.
• Fortinet switches or Fortinet certification is an asset.
• Telecommunications or red seal certification is an asset.
• Previous work in a remote location is an asset.
• FOA fiber certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics on CAT Mine Fleet and related equipment.
• Diagnose faults using testing equipment and advise on repair scope to reduce downtime.
• Work on Motorola radio installations and related assets as required.
• Familiar with SAP for daily work order sign offs and notifications.
• Interpret work orders and CAT manuals, and complete department documentation.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and follow all health and safety rules.
