Job summary

JDS Group of Companies is seeking a Senior Planner to lead scheduling across mining and EPCM construction projects, from engineering through commissioning. You will build and maintain integrated project schedules, align them with cost, scope, and quality standards, and provide clear reporting to project leadership.

The role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in Primavera P6, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support timely decisions and successful project

Qualifications

• Proven track record building and maintaining integrated project schedules.
• Experience with Primavera P6 for mining/EPCM projects.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional project teams to support timely decisions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WBS and detailed schedules in Primavera P6 across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Establish baselines and manage change control for schedule revisions.
• Build resource- and cost-loaded schedules with cost control and discipline leads.
• Perform critical path analysis, look-ahead scheduling, and what-if planning to identify risks.
• Monitor progress and forecast completion dates; flag variances and potential delays early.
• Integrate schedule and cost data using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and schedule narratives for leadership and clients.
• Mentor junior planners and coordinate with Field Engineering, Procurement, Permitting, and Site Operations.
