Job summary

Conuma Resources is seeking experienced Blasters to join the Quintette Mine in Tumbler Ridge, BC. You will contribute to safe blasting operations supporting metallurgical coal production on a 12-hour shift, 7x7 rotation.

The ideal candidate holds the BC Mines Surface Blaster Certification (2nd or 3rd Class), has 2–5 years blasting experience in mining or heavy industrial settings, and is proficient in English. Transportation is provided to site daily.

Qualifications

• BC Mines Surface Blaster Certification (2nd or 3rd Class) required.
• 2–5 years blasting experience in mining or heavy industrial environments.
• Valid driver’s license with experience operating vehicles in mining settings.
• Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts on a 7x7 rotation.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs and perform labour.
• Strong safety awareness and attendance record.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support safe and effective blasting operations to back metallurgical coal production.
• Operate blasting equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Coordinate with mine shift teams and supervisors.
• Complete pre-employment testing as required.

What You’ll Need

• BC Mines Surface Blaster Certification (2nd or 3rd Class)
• 2-5 years blasting experience within mining or similar heavy industrial environments
