Job summary

Cameco is seeking a mine operator for the McArthur River site in Saskatchewan. The role involves operating, inspecting and maintaining the main cage and skip conveyance, and moving equipment underground using slings and rigging.

You will work a 6-month temporary schedule, with the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and to commute by aircraft. A crane and rigging course, a Saskatchewan explosives certification, and a class 5 license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of underground mining experience, including at least three years of shaft-related experience.
• Must successfully pass the crane and rigging course.
• Able to work at heights using fall arrest.
• Willing to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to obtain Saskatchewan certification for handling and transportation of explosives.
• Valid class 5 driver's license.
• Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
