Job summary

Cameco is seeking a Planner, Mobile Maintenance to join the maintenance planning team at McArthur River, Saskatchewan. You will build work order packages, optimize maintenance plans, and drive reliability while coordinating with supervisors and trades to maximize equipment availability.

The ideal candidate holds a heavy-duty mechanic journeyperson certificate with 5+ years in mine maintenance scheduling, plus SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial heavy duty mechanic journeyperson trade certificate.
• Minimum of five years of maintenance scheduling and planning experience in a mine setting.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
• Strong computer and technical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experienced working alongside various levels in an organization.
• Experience with SAP.
• Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

• Develop repair plans and optimize maintenance plans/bill of materials to improve maintenance activities.

The Role

As a member of the maintenance planning team, reporting to the senior planner, you will be committed towards helping McArther River reach reliability excellence. In this role, you will:

Required:

Recommended:

• previous lead hand/supervisor experience;
• maintenance Management Professional {MMP) certification, CMRP designation or equivalent;
• knowledge of asset management, reliability, and maintenance execution best practices;
• exposure to continuous improvement methodologies, such as LEAN, and/or Six Sigma training; and
• experience at an operating underground mining facility.
