Responsibilities

• Identify bad actors impacting maintenance targets.

• Propose data-driven strategies to improve equipment availability.
• Involved in research, design, systems coordination, and planning.
• Engage in new designs and upgrades to existing systems.
• Design and execute mechanical solutions while following site standards.

What You'll Do:

• Identify bad actors impacting production targets related to maintenance down time
• Gather and analyze condition monitoring data such as vibration and oil samples to support the underground Predictive Maintenance program
• Provide suggested strategies through data analysis, to improve availability
• Involved in research, design, systems coordination, and planning
• Involved in new designs and upgrades to existing systems in the mine
• Responsible for the concept, design, and execution of solutions
• Support the Nutrien Safety System and comply with the engineering site standards and procedures

What You'll Bring:

• Must have either Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Journeyperson certificate in a mechanical trade. Reliability activities will be considered an asset
• A minimum 2 years' mechanical experience required.
• Must have g12 education or equivalent.
• Training and experience with CAD would be an asset
• Experience working in a mining environment
• Strong organizational skills with ability to conduct short term and long term work
• Positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
