Position

Mine Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) Co-op for our Hagersville plant for a 1-year term.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting preventative maintenance programs and updating maintenance records.
  • Assisting with corrective actions and required repairs.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Performing housekeeping duties as required and maintaining a clean workstation.
Qualifications
  • Currently working towards a Millwright certification.
  • Proficient mechanical understanding.
  • General welding and fabrication knowledge.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Knowledge of belt drive equipment, conveyors and rock crushers.
  • Well organized and demonstrates the ability to work safely.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.
  • Able to work in an underground mine environment.
Compensation

Hourly wage: $34.73. Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
