The Opportunity

We are currently seeking Mine Labourers to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

This is a permanent position.

Duties and Accountabilities:

1. Receives instructions from supervision and direction from underground personnel.
2. Manually loads and unloads mine cars and trucks; transports and stores mine supplies such as timber, rails, sand, cement, gravel, explosives, pipe, rock bolts etc.
3. Nips materials and equipment into work areas.
4. Manually digs and cleans ditches, clean tracks, walkways, shaft stations, conveyor ways etc.
5. Scales in established drifts and guards blast as assigned.
6. Washes mobile equipment as assigned.
7. Maintains work area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
8. Submits written and/or oral report upon completion of shift.
9. Performs other duties as required.

About You

You will have a minimum of 2 years of mining experience and must have completed the Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner – Common Core.

Your personal commitment to health, safety, training, and continuous improvement will be the key to your success in this role.

Education

Candidate will possess a Grade 12 Diploma. Post Secondary Education will be considered an asset.
