Job summary

Hecla Keno Hill is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to join the on-site Health and Safety team in Yukon. The role reports to the Health and Safety Supervisor and focuses on developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety policies, programs, and initiatives for the Keno Hill operation.

You will track KPIs, participate in safety system development, lead training and inspections, and help foster a proactive safety and environmental culture at a remote mine site.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of mining industry experience.
• OHS legislation knowledge required.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with diverse groups.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Track and report Health and Safety KPIs.
• Develop and implement Health and Safety system processes.
• Conduct workplace inspections and audits of critical risk controls.
• Lead Mine Rescue Training Program.
• Develop emergency response procedures.
• Promote environmental and safety culture across the operation.
