The successful candidate will be a safe and collaborative teammate, responsible for the efficient and safe maintenance of the facility’s equipment and machinery along with other duties as assigned.

THE ROLE

This is a weekend position with 1-2 weekdays if needed

• Inspect and maintain all processing and packaging machinery by carrying out preventative maintenance;
• Respond to breakdowns and other work assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor;
• Maintain equipment parts lists and manuals, determining necessary parts required for routine maintenance and inventory to ensure maximum production time;
• Knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, conveyor/auger systems and electrical troubleshooting;
• Work in compliance with established HACCP, Food Safety, and GMP protocols, and report concerns to your supervisor;
• Follow established safe work practices and procedures, report unsafe or unhealthy conditions;
• Effective communication, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills are required; must be organized, reliable, and have excellent attendance;
• Other duties as assigned.

YOUR PROFILE

• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively;
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting;
• Skills in maintenance, troubleshooting, welding, layout of work, electrical knowledge;
• Mechanical knowledge of conveying systems, pumps, and hydraulics is a plus;
• Experience with T.I.G., M.I.G., stick welding, or plasma cutter;
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in a food manufacturing facility;
• Knowledge of food safety and security practices;
• Strong commitment to safety.
