A leading recycling company in North America is seeking a skilled Millwright Team Lead to join their expanding team. This full-time position involves overseeing a team, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring operational efficiency at their facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, relevant certifications, and experience in a supervisory role. As a valued member of the team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining machinery and supporting the company's sustainability goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a Millwright.
  • Prior team lead/supervisory experience required.
  • Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Oversee a team of millwrights to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
  • Troubleshoot issues with yard equipment and processing lines.

Job description

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $40-$46/hour + Benefits

About the Company:

Our client sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America in order to ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste.

They are expanding at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a licensed Millwright Team Lead to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance activities as assigned on all equipment and machines throughout the plant and yards in conjunction with daily production requirements
  • Oversee team of millwrights to ensure repairs are being done correctly
  • Repair breakdowns of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot problems with yard equipment and processing lines
  • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Fabricate parts and other equipment as per instructions or blueprints
  • Install and commission new machinery
  • Perform weld repairs on equipment as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid 433A or 426A certification
  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Millwright
  • Must possess prior experience working in a team lead/supervisory position
  • Must possess own tools
  • Must possess a valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Prior experience working in a recycling facility is considered to be a strong asset
  • Must be proficient with Stick & TIG welding, MIG would be an asset
  • Possess a strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
  • Basic experience working with a computer is a must
