Base pay range

CA$100,000.00 / yr - CA$110,000.00 / yr

TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager for an Edmonton area-based opportunity. This is a permanent position with our client.

Job Description :

  • Preserving the condition of the plant by monitoring operational care and providing priorities to shift maintenance staff.
  • Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department within the plant.
  • Managing key performance metrics to ensure standards are achieved in shutdowns, quality, safety, preventative maintenance, and financial impact.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop and initiate strategic projects addressing reliability, process improvement, safety, and quality.
  • Monitoring and adjusting operating parameters to ensure machine control within design limits and product quality.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for Supervisors.
  • Preparing and managing the departmental budget.
  • Planning for and executing plant maintenance shutdowns.
  • Managing capital projects alongside daily activities to meet organizational objectives.
  • Promoting a department culture that fosters engagement, inclusion, and high performance.

Job Requirements :

  • Must be a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), Certified Journeyman Millwright or Electrician, or hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience leading a maintenance department in a manufacturing environment.
  • CRMP or MMP certification is an asset.
  • Experience managing major projects and setting priorities.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Exposure to hydraulics or combustion systems is an asset.
  • Experience in reliability and root cause analysis is beneficial.
  • Proactive safety mindset.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaborative skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
