Job description

Our client is seeking licensed Millwright professionals for a full-time permanent opportunity based out of Scarborough, ON. They have various shift options available: days, overnights, or continental.

All candidates must have:

  • 433A certification
  • Continuous process production line experience
  • Experience with preventative maintenance
  • Asset: Papermill and/or Packaging Industry experience

Our client is open to 4th year apprentices with corrugated packaging experience.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

This role involves precision work, mechanical aptitude, and a deep understanding of how different machines operate:

  • Install and assemble machinery and equipment according to blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Analyze machinery malfunctions and implement effective troubleshooting procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks to modify or create components as needed and interpret welding symbols and blueprints.
  • Coordinate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and production teams to optimize machinery performance.
  • Provide input for equipment upgrades and modifications.
  • Train and mentor junior millwrights or apprentices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
