Job summary

Linxus Group is seeking licensed Millwrights for a full-time, permanent role in Scarborough, ON. The position offers multiple shift options including days, overnights, or continental.

Candidates should have 433A certification, continuous process production line experience, and preventative maintenance know-how. Experience in papermill/packaging industries is a plus; fourth-year apprentices with corrugated packaging background are welcome.

Qualifications

• Licensed Millwright with 433A certification.
• Experience on continuous process production lines.
• Experience with preventative maintenance.
• Experience in papermill/packaging industry.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble machinery per blueprints and specs.
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Replace/repair defective parts using hand/power tools and measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions with effective procedures.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace.
• Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective measures.
• Document maintenance and equipment modifications accurately.
• Perform welding and fabrication and interpret welding symbols/blueprints.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineers and production teams to optimize performance.
• Provide input for equipment upgrades/modifications.
• Train and mentor junior millwrights or apprentices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technical advancements.

Our client is seeking licensed Millwright professionals for a fulltime permanentopportunity based out of Scarborough, ON. They have various shift options available: days, overnights, or continental.

• Asset: Papermill and/orPackaging Industry experience
• Afternoons: 50 cents

Our client is open to 4th year apprentices with corrugated packaging experience.

JobDuties & Responsibilities

This role involves precision work, mechanical aptitude, and a deep understanding of how different machines operate:

• Install and assemble machinery and equipment according to blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Analyze machinery malfunctions and implement effective troubleshooting procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
• Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications.
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks to modify or create components as needed and interpret welding symbols and blueprints.
• Coordinate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and production teams to optimize machinery performance.
• Provide input for equipment upgrades and modifications.
• Train and mentor junior millwrights or apprentices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
