Job description

Job Title: Millwright (Red Seal) – Night Shift

Shift: Monday to Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and components.
• Conduct equipment inspections and address issues proactively to minimize downtime.
• Assist with machine upgrades, modifications, and improvements.
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required (asset).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with other maintenance and production staff to ensure smooth plant operations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Red Seal Certification as a Millwright 5+ years experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food processing environment considered an asset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Welding skills are considered an asset.
• Possession of a 4th Class Power Engineer ticket considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, unionized environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitary maintenance practices considered an asset.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Competitive unionized wages M3, $43.98/hour plus night shift premium and benefits package after 60days.
