Job summary

The City of Prince Albert is seeking a permanent Millwright to maintain and repair mechanical equipment across the Waste Water Treatment Plant and related facilities. You will install and troubleshoot gearboxes, pumps, motors, valves and chemical feed systems to ensure safe drinking water production.

Requirements include Grade 12, Saskatchewan Journeyman Millwright certificate, and a valid driver’s license, with a strong track record of 35 years in heavy mechanical environments.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completion is required.
• Journeyman Millwright certificate recognized by Saskatchewan.
• Valid Driver's License is mandatory.
• Minimum 35 years of millwright experience in relevant environments.

Responsibilities

The City of Prince Albert is hiring for the permanent position of Millright at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

The Millwright is a key technical position responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all mechanical equipment and rotating assets across the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) and associated facilities. This role ensures the continuous and reliable operation of pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, mixers, chemical feed systems, and other critical process equipment required for safe drinking water production.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12.
• Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate recognized by the Province of Saskatchewan.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Minimum 35 years of millwright experience, preferably in water treatment, wastewater treatment, industrial plants, or similar heavy mechanical environments.
• Demonstrated experience working with large pumps, motors, gearboxes, chemical systems, valves, and mechanical process equipment.
