Dr. Oetker is a state-of-the-art Pizza Production Facility in London, Ontario. With our Head Quarters in Germany, and operations in over countries around the world, we are an international company with deep family roots dating back to 1. Our London facility employs about associates and showcases modern, highly automated, high-volume production lines where we produce Ristorante, Casa di Mama, and Giuseppe pizzas under the Dr. Oetker label.

In our facility, we start with raw materials such as flour and yeast to make great pizza crusts, topping with sauce and ingredients to create fantastic, finished pizzas, and then freeze and package the pizzas for retail distribution.

We are hiring for both a -hour continental shift and 8-hour rotating shifts, working in a multi-faceted production environment. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of various assignments, tackle different problems, implement solutions, and learn more about the food manufacturing industry.

Your Future :

• Maintain mechanical/electrical maintenance of the plant infrastructure and process equipment.
• Build, install, breakdown, and maintain equipment as needed.
• Participate in the development of reliability strategies and preventative maintenance programs.
• Basic troubleshooting of PLC systems for automated, custom-built machines.
• Proactively participate in HACCP food safety system to identify and control hazards in the food production process.
• Follow all Dr. Oetker Health & Safety and Food Safety & Security policies and procedures.

Your Strengths :

• Interprovincial licensed Millwright (A) or Electrician (A or D)
• Experience in mechanical maintenance / Industrial Electrician roles in food or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and ability to keep the facility running at optimal levels.
• Experience with PLC, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (preferred Siemens S7).
• Ability to work according to tight schedules and timelines, independently and in a team.
• Ability to handle heavy loads (up to KG) and good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work with sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• Own transportation required, as public transit is unavailable.
• Restrictions on jewelry and personal items in production areas.
• Must be able to work with pork, chicken, beef, and dairy products.
• Willing to work rotating hour shifts on four-week cycles or 8-hour shifts with staggered start times.
