Griffith Foods is hiring a Millwright for an onsite role in Scarborough, ON. You will report to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager and work with a high-performing team to support continuous production through preventative maintenance and responsive troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, holds a Millwright or Electrical ticket, and can read schematics and operate diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a food/pharma manufacturing environment.
• 433A Canadian Millwright License or Ontario 309A license is required.
• Specialized Millwright or Electrical Ticket training OR related college program.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document work in maintenance systems.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
• Weld and fabricate simple components as needed.
• Support production and engineering teams while following safety requirements.

Griffith Foods is hiring a Millwright to report to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager to work as part of a high performing team to support the continuous and efficient production of a food manufacturing facility through preventative maintenance as well as responsive troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify equipment failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document work using manual and computerized maintenance systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
• Install, set up, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and production control systems.
• Adjust and calibrate weighing systems, metal detectors, printers, and labeling equipment.
• Complete welding and basic machine fabrication work.
• Support production and engineering teams while following all safety requirements.
• Operate and perform basic repairs on packaging equipment and related materials.

The Millwright position may be right for you if you:

• 3 – 5 years of work hands‑on experience in a food or pharmaceutical production / manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong multi‑tasking and troubleshooting skills with an eye for continuous improvement.
• Strong ability and ability to drive action.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Specialized Millwright or Electrical Ticket training from a Trade certification program OR Manufacturing, Engineering or related education from a recognized Community College program.
• 433A Canadian Millwright License or an Ontario 309A electrical construction & maintenance license is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a food, food ingredient, beverage or liquids, pet food, pharmaceutical or specialty chemical production environment.

Current residence within a commutable distance of the Scarborough / Toronto location.

Willingness and ability to work onsite in Scarborough at least 5 days per week.

Candidates must currently be at least 18 years of age AND possess unrestricted authorization to work in Canada.

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This is a safety sensitive position, and it requires the use of an N9 NIOSH‑approved fitted respirator (“N95”) or an approved alternative.

Successful candidates will be required to go through appropriate fit‑testing and will be required to wear an N95 while performing their duties.
