Aerotek is seeking a hands-on Millwright/Industrial Mechanic for an Edmonton-based contract role. You will dismantle CNC machinery, disconnect hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and prepare equipment for transport or reinstallation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial maintenance or millwright roles and can read blueprints and troubleshoot mechanical issues. This onsite position offers day shifts and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance or millwright experience.
• Experience with CNC machinery or manufacturing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, drives.
• Experience with installation, relocation, or decommissioning of machinery.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate rigging equipment.

Responsibilities

Join a hands-on industrial decommissioning project working with CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment. We're looking for a mechanically skilled professional to safely dismantle, rig, and prepare equipment for removal and transport.

What You'll Do

• Decommission and dismantle CNC machines and industrial equipment
• Disconnect hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Rig, lift, and move machinery using cranes, forklifts, and other equipment
• Label, document, and organize components for transport or reinstallation
• Read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during disassembly
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance, millwright, or mechanical experience
• Experience with CNC machinery or manufacturing equipment
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, drives, and power transmission systems
• Experience with machinery installation, relocation, or decommissioning
• Comfortable using rigging equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot mechanical systems
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment

Assets

• Millwright or Mechanical trade training
• Forklift and/or Overhead Crane certification
• Previous commissioning or decommissioning experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of EDMONTON, AB.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
