Job summary

CGC Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Wheatland plant in Alberta. You will perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other production equipment, following diagrams and engineering specs.

The role requires reading blueprints, working with hand and power tools, cranes and welders, and adhering to safety guidelines. You will support Lean Six Sigma improvements and may involve shift work, overtime, weekends,

Qualifications

3+ years journeyman mechanic or millwright experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Follow diagrams, manuals, and engineering specs to diagnose issues.
Familiarize with plant work order systems and preventive maintenance systems.
Adhere to safety, housekeeping and Lean Six Sigma driven improvement efforts.
Utilize hand/power tools, cranes/hoist, rigging, welders, and fall protection.
Support shift work, overtime, weekends and on-call duties as needed.
