Position: Millwright Journeyperson - Spring Turnarounds

Project Type: Plant Maintenance / Projects / Turnarounds & Outages

Jardeg is recruiting Millwright Journeypersons for various project sites in the Province of Alberta. This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the Maintenance and Turnaround group.

Opportunities may include fly-in/fly-out, drive-in/drive-out and local roles, which depending on the scope of work may provide camp accommodations, LOA or other travel incentives. We often recruit for both long term and short term positions, which allows more flexibility for you.

As a Millwright, your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to determine standard operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform scheduled or preventive maintenance in mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic repairs of equipment.
  • Lubricate all moving parts including bearings, gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Millwright certification.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Millwright, preferably in a heavy industrial or construction setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used as a millwright.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection.
  • Basic Rigging Certification.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Aerial Work Platform.
  • First Aid.
  • WHMIS.
