Lift and Building Maintenance Millwright (Journeyperson or Apprentice)

Position Overview:
The Lift and Building Maintenance Millwright plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and reliability of all lift systems, buildings, and essential infrastructure across the resort. Working as part of a collaborative and skilled maintenance team, this role supports ongoing operations by performing inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on surface and aerial lifts, chalets, utility systems, and various tools and equipment.
The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic mountain environment and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. This is a full-time, year-round position featuring a compressed workweek of four 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other Millwrights, Apprentices, Electricians, and team members to execute daily maintenance tasks.
- Conduct and document preventative maintenance and repairs on:
- Surface and above-surface lift systems
- Buildings, chalets, and utility outbuildings
- Vacusan systems, potable and non-potable water systems, and waste treatment systems
- Snowmaking infrastructure including pumps, filtration, chlorination, and heat tracing
- Maintain compliance with all relevant safety codes, manufacturer schedules, and insurance requirements.
- Ensure maintenance and construction work (staff- or contractor-led) meets current codes and safety standards.
- Maintain hand and shop tools in safe, functional condition.
- Complete work orders accurately and thoroughly.
- Follow OH&S regulations and RMSI-JTAC safety policies at all times.
- Provide prompt radio or phone communication to support maintenance coordination.
- Keep workspaces clean and organized; return tools and materials to proper storage.
- Respond to emergency situations as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson (Red Seal) Certification as a Millwright required.
- Apprentices (1st, 2nd, or 3rd Year) will be considered.
- Training or experience in hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, or construction is an asset.
- Strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations and practices.
- Prior experience in the ski industry or a related setting is preferred.
- Risk management knowledge or training is an advantage.
