Job description

Job Description and Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Millwright to join our team at the Interpro Red Deer facility in Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, troubleshooting, and installing machinery and equipment using various tools and equipment. Ability to read repair documents, manuals, blueprints, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures is required. The candidate should also be capable of tracking work and performing back-up roll bearing maintenance and repairs using our maintenance management system.

Requirements:

  • Qualified as Journeyman Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Heavy Duty Mechanic, or Hydraulic Mechanic; IP Red Seal preferred.
  • Experience with air impact and electric wrenches of all sizes, pipe fitting tools and equipment (sockets, ratchets, hoists, both electric and manual), jackhammers, cutting torches, welding equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Skills in setting up, tearing down, and rebuilding machinery and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using computer programs.
  • Good written, oral communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic math skills; exposure to geometry and trigonometry preferred.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • Availability for 12-hour shifts, including day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: $48.94 per hour
