About the role

The Technician - Millwright is primarily responsible for planning and executing mechanical equipment maintenance jobs in the plant.

What you will be doing

  • Plan jobs requested by Operations, Maintenance, or Technical teams.
  • Execute the jobs in the field according to the plan and weekly schedule.
  • Ensure all safety measures are addressed before starting any job, following company procedures.
  • Capture and report data from jobs to support continuous improvement.
  • Use the CMMS (4S) system to plan, execute, and report work.
  • Optimize tool time by providing accurate information on wastes and proposing actions for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area.
  • Mentor apprentices in reliability culture.
  • Lead other technicians or contractors as requested.
  • Participate in RCFA, HAZOPs, or other studies as needed.
  • Supervise vendors on site during operations, outages, or turnarounds.

Connection with the bigger picture :

The Maintenance Execution team performs hands-on tasks to maintain or replace equipment, ensuring safe plant operations. They coordinate with planning teams and manage work permits and JHAs.

What you will bring

  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience assembling, installing, and maintaining heavy mechanical rotating equipment.
  • Ability to perform tests and inspections to ensure machinery safety and efficiency.
  • Skills in troubleshooting and minimizing downtime.
  • Experience with vibration analysis (AMS - Emerson) or similar.
  • Proficiency in performing preventative maintenance and logging activities.
  • Capability to operate machine tools like lathes and grinders.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and influence effectively.
  • Certified Millwright or Industrial Mechanic qualification.
