HY-TECH Drilling LTD in Smithers, BC is seeking a Millwright to install, repair, overhaul and maintain heavy equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment reliability and safety for field operations.
Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of millwright experience, a Red Seal, and knowledge of diamond drilling equipment. Applicants must be prepared for outdoor work in all weather and be able to work independently or with a team.

Hy-Tech is adding a Millwright to our growing team. The Millwright is responsible for installation, repair, overhaul and maintenance of machinery and heavy mechanical equipment. This role performs routine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, adjusting valves and seals, and investigating breakdowns to ensure that equipment is available, reliable and safe to operate. The Millwright troubleshoots major and minor mechanical problems and evaluates whether repair or replacement are the correct options. We are looking to add an ambitious, well-rounded individual to carry out the following key responsibilities:
This position is based out of the Company Headquarters in Smithers, BC. Shop work environment. There is also a requirement to work outside in all weather conditions. Possible exposure to dust, hazardous chemicals, and high levels of noise.
Standard working hours are 6:00am – 2:30pm Monday to Friday. There will also be some requirements to be available after hours and on weekends during busy times.
