Job summary

Martinrea International Inc. is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Technician to ensure machines at Rollstar Metal Forming are maintained and operating properly. The role requires Red Seal 433A, 5+ years in a comparable position, and strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system knowledge.

Reading drawings and blueprints, with proficiency in measuring tools and basic welding is expected. Experience with presses is preferred; candidate should own a toolbox and work with minimal supervision in a

Qualifications

• Provincial Red Seal 433A certification is required.
• Minimum five years of experience in a similar role.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English with good communication skills.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
• Experience with presses is preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, specifications and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and diagnose root causes of issues.
• Perform full diagnostics on equipment and advise supervisor of parts required.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and logs.
• Physically maintain machines and equipment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Record product damage/nonconformities to supervisor.
• Provide training as required.
• Support daily production requirements.

Job Summary:

Ensure that all machines at Rollstar Metal Forming are maintained and in proper working order

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Provincial Certification Red Seal 433A required
• Minimum five (5) years experience in similar position
• Must be able to read, write and speak English with good written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of Mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of Mechanical and Electrical procedures
• Experience of working with presses preferred
• Knowledge of machine rigging procedures
• Basic knowledge of machining and welding - tig, mig and stick welding
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, specifications and manuals
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools and industrial maintenance equipment
• Possess own tools and toolbox
• Holding dual tickets is an asset

Major Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and diagnose root causes of issues in equipment Perform full diagnostics on equipment and advise Maintenance Supervisor and/or Purchasing Manager of parts required to perform necessary Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Must ensure all paperwork and logs are completed prior to shift end
• Physically maintain machines and equipment
• Maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedule
• Ensure preventative maintenance program are done based on assigned schedules
• Maintain company tools as required to fulfil duties
• Trouble shooting of production equipment and record keeping of development and troubleshooting
• Work independently and with minimum supervision
• Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required
• Provide training as required
• Complete routine paperwork as required
• Support daily production requirements
• Work on ladders, lifts and scaffolds
