Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an Industrial Millwright or registered apprentice.
• Previous hoisting experience is considered an asset.
• Comfortable working at heights and around elevated platforms.
• Basic UG Hard Rock Common Core certification is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
• Experience with rigging and welding is preferred.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs to hoisting plant and machinery.
• Fabricate components in the shop as required.

Skills

Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver, is located in Timmins, Ontario.The Timmins West mine is located approximately 18 kilometers west of Timmins, Ontario, one of the world’s most prolific gold camps. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt. The Timmins West mine is comprised of the Timmins deposit, the Thunder Creek deposit, and the 144 Gap deposit. All three deposits are interconnected by underground drifts.

About the Opportunity

We are looking to hire a Millwright to join ourBell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON and Timmins West Mine in Timmins, ON. on afull-time basis. The schedule for this position is 5-5-4,10hrs/day alternating days and nights each week.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

In this position, you will safely and efficiently perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance and repairs for the hoisting plant, loading pockets, fuel distribution systems, rock breakers, mine water systems, pump stations, and water treatment plant; troubleshoot and perform hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical repairs to machinery; some shop fabrication work and other duties as assigned.

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

• Licensed as an Industrial Millwright or registered apprentice
• Previous hoisting experience is an asset
• Must be comfortable working at heights, around mine shaft or elevated platforms
• Basic UG Hard Rock Common Core is an asset
• Ability to reach schematic drawings
• Rigging and welding experience
• Practice good housekeeping and have a commitment to safety
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada
