A leading company in food equipment services in Metro Vancouver seeks a skilled Millwright. The role involves installing and maintaining industrial machinery, requiring trade certification and relevant experience. Join a dynamic team committed to quality service.

Salary: $36.00 per hour
Vacation: 10 days paid vacation per year

THE ROLE:
As a Millwright, you will play a key role in installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial and food processing equipment and carry out the following tasks.
Install, align, and service industrial and food processing machinery using hand and power tools.
Interpret and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams during equipment setup and repair.
Operate hoists, jacks, and alignment tools to position and secure heavy machinery safely.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and replace worn or defective mechanical components.
Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and part replacement.
Fabricate small replacement parts using lathes, grinders, and drill presses during maintenance and overhauls.
Adjust or modify components as needed to restore equipment functionality.
Dismantle and reposition stationary equipment based on layout specifications.
Repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems using precision tools and standard practices.
Maintain compliance with international health and safety standards throughout all tasks.
Travel to supplier locations and off-site business partners to install, service, or source mechanical components.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Trade certification Millwright / third level qualification in Mechanical Engineering related discipline.
· 3-5 years’ work experience as a Millwright
· Direct experience with all relevant industrial food processing equipment.
· Full Clean Driver’s License
· Exceptional verbal and written English.
· Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition, ability to comfortable lift 50-100lbs.
· Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.
