Millwright

Help us set the standard for work as a Millwright at our Thunder Bay Grain Terminal. Your experience with machinery and equipment, along with solid workmanship and focus on continuous improvement, ensure the efficiency of facility operations. You’re no stranger to drawings, diagrams, building plans and blueprints, and you always put safety first.

What you’ll do

  • Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Follow established schedules, codes and procedures and participate in safety and regulatory inspections
  • Perform facility repairs and provide technical support for operations staff
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and checks
  • Complete small-part fabrication using plasma cutting and welding equipment

What you bring to our team

  • Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certificate with an Interprovincial Red Seal certification
  • Minimum of three years experience in an industrial setting or comparable service work in the industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial machinery, including grain handling and cleaning systems, and a solid understanding of welding, rigging, and mobile equipment operation
  • The ability to read schematic drawings, equipment diagrams, building plans, and blueprints
