We’re looking for a dedicated Millwright to join our Field Service team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of repairing, maintaining, and installing critical mining process equipment. You'll work under the guidance of our Field Service Manager for Comminution, and enjoy the variety of working at different job sites.

This position is based in Montreal, Quebec or Sudbury, Ontario. And will require up to 70% travel to various job sites, including extended periods, providing you with dynamic and diverse work environments.

The team you will join:

You’ll be part of a team of field service experts who are passionate about solving problems and getting things done. Our team is spread across various locations and works closely with Operations, Administration, Accounting, and Field Service Support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare and Plan: Before heading to a field assignment, you’ll study and plan the scope of work, review drawings, and gather necessary resources to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Execute with Precision: Under the guidance of a Metso service representative or supervisor, you'll perform mechanical maintenance, wear component replacements, and other critical tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose mechanical issues, implement corrective actions, and assist with repairs to keep equipment running efficiently.
  • Adapt and Innovate: Tackle miscellaneous duties and special projects as needed, showcasing your adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Who you are:

  • Experience as a Millwright/Mechanic, ideally with hands-on experience with grinding mills, crushers, and other process machinery.
  • Hold a Millwright certification or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a bonus.
  • Skilled in reading and understanding mechanical drawings in both English and Metric Systems.
  • Basic computer skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
