Job description

Comcor Environmental Limited is a growing company in Ontario, specializing in the landfill gas industry. Our mission is to transform landfill gas into clean, renewable energy while ensuring safe and efficient operations. With exciting new opportunities and a commitment to environmental innovation, we are expanding our team.

We are seeking a licensed Millwright with a strong electrical background to assist with operation and maintenance of a newly constructed renewable natural gas production facility, two landfill gas fired stationary IC gensets and a gas compression building.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking someone who has experience with operating and maintaining mechanical compression and gas processing equipment, gas fired engines, process control and SCADA systems and possess strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and skills.

Some of the main job tasks will include but not be limited to

  • operation, maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical equipment related to gas processing including compression, dehydration, filtration and measurement
  • maintenance activities including routine calibration and functional testing of process instruments and devices, documentation of calibration data collected during inspections, verification of data communication systems
  • equipment troubleshooting and restarting after unscheduled shutdowns / trips
  • monitoring plant systems including visual inspection of plant equipment and maintaining daily plant logs and records
  • performing various routine and non-routine Preventative Maintenance tasks and repairs on plant equipment as issues arise
  • inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect potential failures and eliminate unplanned downtime
  • adjusting machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • close work orders and document work completed using the plant CMMS
  • participate in more complex equipment overhauls
  • directing, advising, instructing, inspecting, supporting, and / or assisting employees and contractors with the construction, operation and maintenance of plant equipment
  • ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met

Qualifications and Skills

  • Licensed Millwright
  • A minimum of 5 years direct hands-on experience in mechanical compression and gas processing equipment, PLCs and similar control systems
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, instrument and component drawings, installation specifications and wiring schematics
  • Self-starter and able to work independently and as a team member

The position will be full time, weekly rotating shifts from 7 am to 3 : 30 pm, 3 p.m. to 11 : 30 p.m., Monday to Friday.On-call work will be required.
