Ledcor is hiring experienced Millwrights for the construction of the USG Wheatland Wallboard Plant in Carseland, Alberta. This project involves assembling and installing a wallboard production line, including product stands, reels, conveyors, a natural gas drying kiln, platforms, stairs/ladders, and stacking/load-out equipment. The scope also includes installing ducting for air exchange systems, heat exchangers, and recirculation fans along the drying kiln.

Work Conditions:
  • Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off (10.5-hour shifts)
  • Project End Date: November 2025
  • Location: Carseland, Alberta (parking available on-site)
  • Travel Allowance: Provided for those who qualify (proof of residency required)
  • LOA: $160/day
  • Work Environment: Outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret diagrams, schematic drawings, and manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Install pumps, compressors, conveyors.
  • Fit bearings, attach motors, and connect couplings with precise tolerances.
  • Use alignment and testing equipment to make adjustments.
  • Understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and programmable logic controls.
  • Perform tack welding, fabrication, and maintain parts inventory as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Have a Journeyperson ticket or be registered in an apprenticeship program with a recognized provincial training authority.
  • Experience working on construction projects in an industrial setting.
  • Rigging experience.
  • Experience with pumps, compressors, conveyors.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Physically fit (able to lift 50 lbs., bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs).
  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (due to project location).
  • Additional certifications (asset):
    • ESC Fall Protection
    • ESC Elevated Work Platform
    • Basic Rigging
