Our Burnaby Branch is looking for a Shop Mechanic who specializes in servicing and repairing diesel-driven pumps, diesel generators, electric submersible pumps, electric motors, heaters, and air conditioners. This is a full-time, shop-based position for a certified Millwright who thrives in a team environment and takes pride in quality work. This position is Monday to Friday.

What you will do...

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and equipment
• Service and troubleshoot electric motors and submersible pumps
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Work with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment
• Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks
• Perform additional duties as required or as assigned

Conditions of Employment

• Must be a Certified Journeyman Millwright (Red Seal or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with:
  • Diesel-driven pumps and generators
  • Electric motors, including three-phase systems
  • Submersible pumps and HVAC systems
• Ability to work constructively under pressure
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated initiative and strong organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills with a professional, customer-service-focused attitude
• Valid driver’s license
• A recent driver’s abstract will be required
• On-call rotation: One week per month

Pay Range:$42-48/hr
