Eventscape has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Carpenter (Custom Millwork Fabricator) to join our wood ideal candidate will be an elite craftsperson and natural leader with experience with all aspects of architectural millwork fabrication and familiarity with a variety of materials.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The custom millwork fabricator will :

• manufacture and assemble highquality custom architectural elements and structures
• read and interpret blueprints drawings and sketches and to understand project specifications
• determine tolerances and test project elements
• operate all woodworking machinery finishing equipment power tools and hand tools
• work with different materials including solid surfacesepoxy metals melamine solid wood wood products
• perform exact measurements ensure precise installation of hardware and other elements
• perform wood finishing sanding staining and applying finishes
• monitor quality across the team and ensure each piece is fabricated to a high standard
• plan and execute fabrication strategies; oversee and manage junior fabricators and assistants
• manageschedules to meet deadlines and provide consistent regular project updates to management
• maintain awareness of inventory and requirements for upcoming projects
• ensure safe work practices are adhered to and follow all safety policies and procedures
• maintain a clean and tidywork area and facilitate required repairs and maintenance to allequipment

ABOUT YOU

You have :

• training from a relevantprogram such as woodworking millwork carpentry or cabinetmaking OR an acceptable combination of education training and experience
• experience as a leadhand or senior fabricator
• a passion for challenging fabrication and tight tolerances
• the ability to selfmotivate and beschedule conscious
• a strong attention to detail and amazing problemsolving skills
• competency in reading and interpreting blueprints / drawings
• a thoroughunderstanding of health and safety principles and practices
• a willingness tocollaborate with a team and work independently when needed
• an indepth understanding of fabrication processes and manufacturing / building materials
• experience with materials like wood solid surfaces fabric acrylic glass leather
• flexibility to work occasional eveningsand weekends
