Qualifications

Job description

Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton and the surrounding area. We are currently looking to hire an EXPERIENCED MILLING CREW FOREMAN to join our Asphalt Milling Division for the 2025 construction season.

This is a full-time seasonal position that offers competitive wages.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience operating Wirtgen cold milling equipment
  • Experience in leadership roles, managing crews, ordering materials, supplies, and trucking
  • Experience with various types of asphalt milling procedures, from highway work to small in-town tie-ins
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills in fast-paced, complex environments
  • Ability to work long hours and day and night shifts
  • Some out-of-town work is anticipated during the course of the season
  • Ensure crews work in a safe and productive manner
  • Complete all safety documentation, which can include daily safety meetings, inspections, and permits
  • Must be physically fit, with the ability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, kneeling, and walking for long periods of time

Successful candidates will thrive in a physically demanding, highly productive, and high-pressure environment. They will also possess a valid driver's license and have a strong drive to contribute to the team's success by working with operators and other crew members to perform a wide range of duties. Successful candidates will also be able to maintain a safety-minded and high accountability work culture while working with their direct supervisors and other employees while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.

  • Successful candidates must have a driving record free of major infractions, and must pass a medical/fitness exam as conditions of employment.
