Job description

Mill Operations Crew (Millwrights, Electricians & Operators)

We're Hiring: Mill Operations Crew (Millwrights, Electricians & Operators)

Location: Merritt, British Columbia | Full-Time | On-Site | 7 Days On / 7 Days Off

At Nicola Mining Inc., we operate one of British Columbia’s only fully permitted mill and tailings facilities. As we scale our site operations in Merritt, B.C., we’re building a multi-skilled Mill Crew and are currently hiring for several Millwright, Electrician/Instrumentation, and Mill Operator positions.

What Makes This Role Unique:

Our crews are small and tight-knit, requiring each member to wear multiple hats. Whether your core skills are in mechanical maintenance, electrical systems, or plant operations, you’ll be expected to jump in wherever needed to keep production running smoothly.

We’re looking for problem-solvers, self-starters, and people who take pride in their work—passengers need not apply.

Who Should Apply:

We’re hiring:

  • Millwrights – Skilled in mechanical maintenance, welding, fabrication, and light machining.
  • Electricians & Instrumentation Techs – Comfortable working on 600V/3-phase systems, motor controls, and assisting with plant instrumentation. Troubleshooting skills are critically important.
  • Mill Operators – Able-bodied individuals ready to be trained on crushing, grinding, flotation, and concentrate packaging, plus willing to perform minor maintenance and assist with major maintenance.

If you’re mechanically or electrically inclined, thrive in hands-on roles, and want to be part of a team that values attitude over pedigree, we want to hear from you.

Work Schedule & Conditions:

  • 12-hour shifts on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation.
  • Schedules may involve steady day, steady night, or alternating shifts.
  • Covered under an Employment Standards Act Variance: 80 regular + 4 OT hours averaged over 14 days.

Additional Notes:

  • Attendance and punctuality are essential—our lean team depends on every person showing up and pulling their weight.
  • Attitude and aptitude are more valuable than a perfect resume—we will train the right candidates.
  • Preference given to applicants from the Merritt area.
