Southern Health-Santé Sud, in partnership with Indigenous communities, invites applications for a term midwifery position in Winkler. This in-person role is 0.8 FTE on-call within Primary Care/Midwifery Services, with the anticipated start date 2026-09-21 and end date 2028-02-13.

The successful candidate will be registered with the College of Midwives of Manitoba, hold BLS and NRP certifications, and bring knowledge of the Midwifery Model of Practice.

Qualificações

  • Graduate of an educational program approved by the College of Midwives of Manitoba (CMM).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification with intubation.
  • Active/eligible registration with the College of Midwives of Manitoba.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide midwifery care within Primary Care/Midwifery Services in Winkler.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver client-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and respect confidentiality.
  • Support flexible hours scheduled according to client needs.

  • Graduate of an educational program approved by the College of Midwives of Manitoba (CMM).


Certification/Licensure/Registration


  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification with intubation.

  • Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required.

  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.

  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums.

  • Good work and attendance record.

  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all‐purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
