Job summary

COFOMO, a leading Canadian consulting firm, seeks a middleware automation engineer to design, implement, and maintain Linux-based middleware environments. You will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate WebLogic/WebSphere/Tomcat deployment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex integration challenges.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of relevant experience, strong IaC, and hands-on work with Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and with CI/CD pipelines.
• Master agile development concepts and practices.
• Knowledge of Java middleware environments on Linux, including WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, and JBoss.
• Use Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Terraform, VRA, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Develop, automate and maintain middleware solutions on Linux platforms to support business solutions.
• Design and improve CI/CD delivery pipelines and middleware framework.
• Develop scripts, roles, and playbooks to automate the creation, configuration, and administration of WebSphere, WebLogic, and Tomcat middleware environments.
• Collaborate with business areas and technical teams to participate in analysis, clarify technical needs and contribute to problem solving.
• Contribute to the development of new features and the continuous improvement of existing tools and processes.
• Maintain and optimize middleware environments through automation, in accordance with standards and best practices.
